Meet Cheryl

Cheryl is passionate about being a stabilizing presence to patients and caregivers when they are faced with a cancer diagnoses.  She is motivated by helping them to find their direction as they navigate complex medical systems to find the best treatment options.  Cheryl started her nursing career at Baptist Medical Center as an oncology nurse working on the floor caring for newly diagnosed patients, those in treatment, and those who had completed life’s journey.  During this time she finished her Bachelor Degree in Nursing and sought to specialize in Nurse Navigation were she could build individualized relationships with her patients and assist them during their cancer journey.  She then joined St. Vincent’s Medical Center as a nurse navigator working with Lung Cancer Patients.  During this time she helped develop the Lung Cancer Screening Program and Lung Cancer Nurse Navigation Program. 

Cheryl lives with her husband and is a mother of three grown children and grandmother of five special grandchildren.  She enjoys the outdoors, traveling and dancing.
