The Brain Tumor Network team had an informational booth and presence at the AWARE for All Clinical Research Education Day hosted by Center for Information & Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) on Tuesday, December 5th, 2017 at the Schultz Center in Jacksonville, FL. The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation is a nonprofit organization which was founded in 2003. Its purpose is to educate the public, patients, the media, and policy makers in an effort to promote clinical trial participation.

CISCRP has partnered with communities across the nation to make information on clinical research participation more widely available.  Residents of Northeast Florida came out to learn more, as well as to participate in free health screenings. The Aware for All event is a free educational program open to the public with the goal of providing information to help people make informed decisions about clinical research participation.

The Brain Tumor Network stands behind the mission of CISCPR and encourages patients who have been impacted by a primary brain tumor to empower themselves with as much information as possible. The CISCPR website provides valuable educational materials for those seeking further information about clinical research or for those considering clinical trial participation.
